How to remove the area codeo of a phone number field

I know this has been answered many times here in the forum and I have researched it before I post here, but I just want to ask, why there is no easy way/option to just remove the code field of a phone field screenshot below

Anyway almost all the answers are via old JotForm interface or using some kind of CSS. 

Whats the easiest and best way to remove it?

I would like to apologize. I'm not sure of what is the exact reason why there is no option to remove the area code field of a phone number field, but in my opinion, it's just one way of making sure that the information that form respondents are going to enter is complete.

As for the easiest way to remove the Area Code, I suggest you enable the Input Mask option of the Phone Number field — Getting-Started-with-the-Basics-of-Input-Masking
