Widget request: Address autocomplete using post code method (UK)

I've asked this question before but have never got an appropriate widget that works like nearly every UK form I fill in these days.

I'm looking for an address widget where you simply complete the postcode then you get a drop-down to find your actual address. It's so common on UK forms as to be on almost 100% of forms where an address is needed.

Saves a whole lot of hassle when completing forms.

    Does Jotform have this yet?

    Many thanks.

Have you tried Autocompleted Address widget?

And that is what you get. I guess you may want to change "Enter your address here" to "Enter your postcode here". Let me know if it was helpful

    Hi thanks for that.

Unfortunately, that doesn't work as I've described. You still have start typing your address and in my personal case I got up to typing the house number, then the whole street name before I could select the appropriate address from the suggestions. I might as well have typed it out fully in the first place.

With the postcode method, you simply type the postcode - that's it. You're then given the suggestions for every house in that area.

I don't know where the UK websites are getting their forms from because they all use the method I'm describing.

Here's an example of what I'm looking for:

If you type my own personal postcode in of WN4 8XR you then get a dropdown of all the house in the area and you simply select the correct one.

Unfortunately there is no tool at the moment in JotForm's apps that can do the same as what you have mentioned, ashtutors.

But let me escalate a feature request to our development team and see if they can find and create a tool for it. However, I cannot guarantee that this can be implemented right away. But as soon as we have updates, we will be sure to inform you.

    Thank you I appreciate that.

It's a mystery to me where all the UK websites I use on a daily basis are getting their forms from then!

There are certain service providers who have the database of all addresses in the UK. It's possible that the websites you use are customized that way. In any case, a request has already been submitted and a developer has been given an assignment. I just cannot give you a time frame but as soon as this gets implemented, we'll be sure to inform you immediately.

    Thanks and warm regards.

OK thanks. I did a quick search through the forum, and this has been requested from UK users many, many times. Most UK sites seem to have this feature. It's a shame jotform doesn't - as it would no doubt increase your user numbers.

Yes, there are many requests regarding the same matter, but it is up to our developers to add it to their work list. We see no update so far, so they're likely busy with something. Again, we will keep you updated here.

It's an entire year now and still this isn't a feature.

I'm surprised as so many people have asked for it.

I still can't see this as a feature. It might be time to find a provider that can do it.

We are sorry about that. Please note that the feature requests are implemented based on the importance of other fixes or features with more requests or as assigned by the management. The feature request is currently having a low priority and it is likely to take time to implement. Though we cannot provide any ETA at the moment, we'll let you know here once it is available.

    Thanks!

Five years on from my original request and I'm still waiting for this feature - as are many other UK users, it appears. There isn't a single website I go on now that doesn't use this feature. It saves people having to type their whole address out - which isn't an insignificant hassle on a mobile device.

Simply typing a postal code then selecting the correct address from a drop-down menu is sooooo much easier.

    Any updates on this yet?

    many thanks.
