Why my files are stored in US even though my account data is in EU?

    Hello stil some security problems

    I checked using that form https://form.jotformeu.com/52202499676362 that uploads files on my dropbox

    the links are well protected so that I can't access them when not logged-in and even when logged, maybe it is because it is moved to my dropbox?

    but they are stored in the US !!!! for example

    as a eu.jotform user, all my files are supposed to be stored in europe ?

    so this file is not protected from an US gov access yes or no

    That submission is apparently deleted.

    Since your account's data is on EU servers, uploads should be there as well, I wasn't able to check this since I wasn't able to find the form with an upload.

    If you have any example upload file that we could check it would be great.

    This pdf is saved on my dropbox, with the associated file so maybe the file is not writen somewhere and maybe the link written on it is a fake or error or maybe takenout by security settings set not to keep files while saved on a dropbox

    I didn't deleted anything as I said the submission is not seen any where except on the thankyou mail and on my drop

    feel free to clone it and try it, even if you save files on my dropbox, it's not a big deal or maybe you have a test dropbox

    I'm sorry if I misunderstood, but I'm not sure if we are on the same page.

    I downloaded your PDF, and that is fine, but you were initially referring to this image (from that PDF): https://www.jotform.com/uploads/sophrokhepri/52202499676362/4059868996516367204/marie-France%20Phu-400.jpg

    And I'm unable to find that submission (4059868996516367204) and therefore that file so we could check the file location, but again, uploads, regardless of your DropBox integration, should be on EU server since your account is set like that, since all data is going to our servers first and then to integration.

    Where did you see that the file is not on EU servers?

    files are in my drop but no record in submissions the last one is still 19/10/2016 (october 19th 2016)

    4 questions please answer to them with the numbers 



    1- why this link on the pdf is not working?

    2- is this link refering to a non eu storage

    3- even if cleared did this link was active before the file is sent to my dropbox

    4- Last but not least why my submitions are not updated?

    Update to this post:

    I had the autodelete running on that form
    I removed it and so questions 1, 3 and 4 are answered

    but for question 2
    I am now pretty sure that it is stored in US or not in europe

    so where is located this file?

    and why the autodelete doesn't have the option to delete just the files, not the submission itself instead of deleting everything.

    Not sure if it has something to do with the old integration it seems your form was created since 2015 basing from its first submission data. 

    Can you please confirm if this is still the case if you create a new form and integrate that form to your dropbox account? Your upload URL should be something like jotformeu.com

    As for the auto delete app, that is currently how the app was designed for. It only deletes the submission data not just the file attached to the form.
