Using Get URL Widget Issues

I am creating a form where I want the user to be able to complete different modules of teaching materials.

    The form is https://form.jotform.co/82898755184880

I am using the Get Form Page URL widget and using Sections to split the form into those modules.

The user receives an email after completing each module with a link to start the next module.  I am using conditions to either hide or show sections based on the edit URL.

For example a condition where if the URL ends with Module2 then the Section named Module 2 is shown.

I have done something similar before in another form and it seemed to work OK.

For example if a user completes Module 1 they are sent an email with the edit link similar to this one https://jotform.com/edit/4156463523421762864?Module2

However, Module 2 isn't showing so I am obviously missing something but I cannot see what I have done different to the previous form.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Many thanks.

As I understood, you would like to show Module 2 only the edit link includes "Module2". I have tried the form and I was able to see Module 2 after I submitted and clicked on the link on Thank You page.

    See the gif given below:

I have done something similar before in another form and it seemed to work OK.

If you provide the URL of the form you have mentioned we can assist you further.

    Hi Tina,

That is correct.  However, Module 2 should look like this (I have left the section button as showing).

The other form where this works is https://form.jotform.co/82047618884871

However, there is one difference.  This new form consists of multiple pages per Section where the form that works only has one page per Section.  Does this make a difference?

    Thanks.

Are you referring to this form https://form.jotform.co/82898755184880? Module 2 is working after the first submission.

    Sample screencast:

My colleague also tested your form and it works on her end too. Can you please send us a screen recording so we can see the steps you took on how you replicate the issue. You can use this free tool http://screencast-o-matic.com/screen_recorder to record your screen.

    Here's my sample submission https://jotform.com/edit/4157256763013426414?Module2.

Let us know if you have any questions or if you need further assistance.

    Hi Jed.

I still have the same issue where I complete the form.  When you click on the link from the Thank You page or the email, it takes you to page 2 of the form and not the start of Module 2.

Here is the screen recording of me completing the form and also how it looks when editing.

Module 1 has multiple pages (as will all the others when finished) - is that the issue?

The link you are using is an edit link, I am not sure what you were actually trying to achieve.

Do you just want to show Section 2 of the form after the user submitted the form https://form.jotform.co/82898755184880 ?

Can you please clarify the process. It will help us identify a resolution once we understand the steps.

    Hi,

The short answer to your question is yes.

In total there will be about 5-8 separate modules.  The main reason for the separate modules is that each one will take about 45 minutes and I don't want people sitting there for 4-6 hours.

So when module 1 is complete we will use an edit link so they only see module 2.  When they complete module 2 they will get a link so that they only see module 3, etc.

    Thanks,

The issue is that the condition is set to hide the section breaks. However, each section has multiple pages which is causing the issue. Please note that the section break works with in the page breaks. Please try to include each module in its own page so that the conditions should be working fine.

Also, please check if the Save and continue later feature works for your requirement by going through the guide below:

    Hi Kiran,

Thanks for confirming that.  I thought that sections may not work across multiple pages which is a shame as each module can be quite long and I was trying to present it better using pages instead of scrolling down.

    Thanks again.
