I have created a form that I need a number to be assigned to.

I created a form for our department (Incident Report template), and I need a number assigned to each new Incident Report that's submitted. Is there a way to do this in JotForm? 

Yes, this is possible using the Unique ID widget.

You can place Unique ID widget at the beginning of the form and hide it.

Go to settings and set padding to 1. The number will on incrementing once the form is submitted.
