Error 400 when trying to view uploaded files.

Our managers are getting some strange behavior when trying to open attachments from form submissions that were e-mailed to them. If we go to look at the submissions in JotForm, the attachments can be downloaded just fine. But when the submissions are e-mailed automatically to managers, sometimes certain attachments get corrupted and turned into other files. For instance, several clients' resumes in DOCX format, got turned into this HTML code, which appears to be a bad request error:

    --

      Error 400 (Bad Request)!!1

    400. That’s an error.

Your client has issued a malformed or illegal request.  That’s all we know.
    --

Other times, the file gets turned into a blank file.

The types of files we usually receive are either Word documents or PDFs, but the corruption error seems to happen at random to either type of file. Sometimes all of the attachments get corrupted, sometimes just one does.

I've done several test submissions, but I can't seem to get consistent results as to what causes the error.

I tried clearing the Form Cache as was suggested on here, but it doesn't seem to have helped anything.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Please go to your account settings page and un-tick the Require log-in to view uploaded files option or make sure that you logged into your account before downloading the uploaded files.

    Hi Andrew!

We are logged into our account when viewing files. As I stated above, when were are logged into JotForm, we are able to download the attached files for each submission without any issues.

The issue with the attachments only occurs when the e-mail submissions are automatically e-mailed to the managers.

Since you have enabled the settings so that one should always be logged in to view the files so one cannot download or see the attachments unless you are logged in. If you want your managers to be able to see the attachments anytime that they would like then you may uncheck the options as directed by my colleague from your pricay settings:

Let us know if you have further questions.

    Thanks.

Thank you so much for your help! It looks like this setting seems to have fixed the issue.
