Can you tell me more about encryption? I’m guessing I’ll have 1 or 2 families who will need assurance.

The Encrypted Form offers another layer of security on top of the already secured forms and submissions, which we offer.

In order to enable the form encryption, you should go to Settings > Form Settings and then click on Show more options and scroll down to the "Encrypt form data" field.

Then you will need to setup your private key. It is very important to save your private key, because no one will be able to decrypt the data, if the private key is lost.

Thank you. How secure is the information without encryption? We are a small debate group. Just wondering how necessary this is.

Our security page is ready to answer all of the most common questions such as How secure is Jotform, Security Audits, Data Center locations, etc. You can read more here:

    https://www.jotform.com/security

Our regular level of security is very high. I would recommend you to start to use our forms with the normal level of security. Then if you experience some security issues, you can switch to encrypted forms anytime.
