Skip logic and updating answers

Currently we have set up a survey which includes skip logic and the ability to go backwards and update responses. In the case that a user answers questions in the survey, then goes backward and changes responses which trigger skip logic, the answers that were originally captured after that skip logic are still persisting rather than being erased.

    How it should work:

    1. User proceeds through survey and answers questions.

    2. If user navigates backwards and changes an answer which then triggers skip logic, all of the former answers to the currently skipped questions should be erased

    3. This allows all answers to be relevant and updated when the survey is submitted.

How can we make this happen?

    Hi @BoltAdmin,

Since your account is HIPAA enabled I am not allowed to log on to your account. Can you give us the Form ID or URL that is having the issue? I can see a few survey forms on your account.

One option is to change the Clear Hidden field values option to Clear Hidden.

To make this change click on Settings then Show More Options. Then Scroll down to the Clear Hidden Field values to Clear hidden.

Below are definitions of the three options:

Clear hidden fields basically will clear the values when a field as soon as it gets hidden. So even before submission, it's already empty. This can be used when there are other conditions that require the field to have different content. So with this option. The time that it becomes empty is upon the action of being hidden.

When a Clear on Submit is selected, the hidden fields will be cleared upon submission. Only visible fields on the form shall pass the information for the record.

Don't clear simply means even though the field is hidden when the form is submitted, it shall still submit the contents of a hidden field.

    Wating for your response.

    Thank you
