Hi I want to create a Form with a series of Dropdowns containing list of Food items to generate and calculate Calorie intake
1) Can I achieve Calculation in conjunction with Dynamique Drop down Widget?
If not how else might I approach this challenge please?I was hoping that one form would cover a weeks input (7 days) and be summarized / totaled for one week Calories Per day totaling to Calories per week etc.
I was hoping to enter the attached food items into some form of drop down or dropdowns where I can select the food consumed and the amount of that food and that the form would auto calculate the calories of that component of that meal. and then at intervals subtotal the Intake Per Meal and Per Day And total for the week.
Attached is an example of the core data that I'm starting with. Important to note that In Jotform I want to be able to enter the VARIABLE serving size per food item in each meal or snack and for the form to sub total and total calorie intake?
no url supplied as I'm still planning / discovering how best to approach thsi in JOTFORM?

You may not be able to achieve this with Dynamic dropdown however it can be achieved with the standard DropDown field. Dropdown menus with calculation should help you create what you need.
Let me know if you want me to design a sample form that can help you develop your own version of the calorie calculation form.

Sorry for the delay. As promised here is a Demo Form:
https://form.jotform.com/92578263933973
1. Added an Input table in the Form to add the Calories count and items.
2. Added a Form Calculation widget to sum up the Calories.
Result:
Let us know if you have further questions.
Thanks.

IanRmReplied on September 17, 2019 at 6:39 AMHi - Thank you but what we are after is A DROP DOWN
Where depending on the associated linked value of the food item another
field will be populated
Egg for example x 1 = 80 (Calories)
Bacon x 2 - 180 (calories
AN ITEM A QUANTITY = Calorie Value
All items to be selectable from a predefined drop down where each of the
ITEMS in the full menu will have a defined Calorie value so when you select
Bacon in the drop down and enter a quantity of 2 that the Item LIne will
auto populate with the total value for that item in that meal on that day
Meaning: 1 Slice of bacon = 90 (calories) so the Data within drop down
holds the associated calorie value for slices of Bacon which in this
instance is 90 calories and a multiplication factor field where if you
enter 2 the result field is auto populated with 180 Calories.
So a drop down where you can choose an item from total menus and when you
select that item you can add in a multiplication factor to produce the
final result
Might this be of sufficient help for someone to build a demo of a drop down
with a long series of menu items each with unique calorie values and that
you have the opportunity to also enter a calculation factor to achieve the
final result?
Kind Regards
Ian

I tried different ways of doing this. The best we can do is this way:
1. Please add a text element in the Form and define all the values of the items there.
2. Please select the Multi-type Columns in the Input table. One would be a dropdown and others would be a textbox. Assign the values in a dropdown:
3. In the Form calculation widget add the Formula:
total=item1*quantity+item2*quantity+item3*quantity
Here is the Demo Form:
