Allow the customer to only make a deposit instead of the full payment

Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to allow the customer to only make a deposit instead of the full payment?

I understand that, initially, you would only want to collect a deposit. May we know how are you planning of collecting the remaining balance after you have collected a deposit?

Will it be collected automatically after a certain time? Will it be collected personally or manually on your end? Or, users need to submit the same or a different for to process the remaining balance?
