    Hello,

Although adding currency symbols has become way easier than it used to be, the calculation widget doesnt perform like it should using currency symbols, see screenshot. Can you see why?

Like to hear! Greeting Ronald Jan (NL)

    Hi Ronald,

I removed the comma (,) and the minus (-) signs in your calculation widget, and it seems to work fine. Check the screencast below:

Calculations using currency symbols fail (?) Image 1 Screenshot 30 You can enable Use commas for decimal point if you would like to use commas (,) instead of a period as a decimal point.

Click on the widget settings (magic want icon) in the highlighted field box (top right), and then the "..." on the calculator pad and then "Options" tab.

Hm, yes I see, but it would also be nice when the amounts in the calculated fields - not the final calculation field - bring up currency symbols, I annotated these fields in red circles. I cannot get the calculated fields showing currency symbols, because it will make the final calculation go bad, or so it seems. I cannot get it to work, thats a fact, can you?
By the way, thank you for your swift reaction!

You can have the currency sign showing up on all the calculation field and it will not affect the end result. Simply add the sign at the beginning of the calculation.

Aha, now I’ve got it! I myself added the comma dash to make the amounts currency-fit :-), see attachment, but of course, when setting the decimal comma options like you showed me in the screencast, the currency comma and dash will appear automatically. These options are truly hidden by the way, I would have never found them myself.... Anyway, all solved now, thank you very much! RJ
