How to select Start and end times for appointment bookings?

    Hi there,

    Is there a way to configure the booking window using the Appointment slot? E.g. we're trying to setup an office desk reservation form and I want users to be able to select the start time (arrival time) and end time (departure time), with a minimum booking slot of 1hr.

    Also, we want to set the max limit of appointments to 35 per day - how do I cap it at 35 for each day?

    Greetings and thank you for your message.

    The only way to achieve what you need is to create two appointment fields. One for the arrival time, and the second one for departure time.

    To limit appointments per day, you need to go to the Limits tab of the Appointment field:

    Thanks - so the other question is that if I delete a form submission, does it reset the max appointments counter as well? For e.g. say if I set the max limit to 100 per day and if I end up deleting 5, then does it mean the booking will be open again?

    Also what message is displayed when the appointment limits have been exhausted? Can we customize that message?

    I made a test form and deleting submissions actually affects the limit count of the Appointment:

    I set a limit of 3 appointments for the 27th of May at 9 am and deleted the submission after, and the schedule opened.

    We've run into another issue. We have set the max appointment limit to 35 per day - but why do certain time slots get greyed out? We have not set any limits on any time slots - it's just a per day limit.

    We want to keep all time slots available for booking till the limit of 35 per day (irrespective of the time slot) is reached and then everything should be greyed out.

    Please see the attached screenshot. Try dates from 2-4 June and you will notice that some time slots are greyed out.1590516869Image 525 Screenshot 10

    Hello there,

    Apologies for the inconvenience, I conducted another test and it still counts the number appointments made even though submission were already booked. Once a specific schedule is picked, it is automatically disabled therefore greying it out.

    I will make a feature request for it so that users can set a limit not only for the appointments made for the day but to enable users to select the same date and time slot as well.

    Hi there,

    After some further testing, I have found that by going to ADVANCED settings > Group > Maximum Attendee Per Time Slot. This is where you can set how many people can book the same time slot:

    This doesn't solve our problem and not what we were after.

    As I mentioned before, we don't want to put any limits on any time slots - only the daily appointment limit needs to be 35 - irrespective of the time slot. Once we have 35 bookings, then all time slots should be greyed out.

    You can place a large number which will never be reached, and then users will be able to select any time slot unlimited number of time (almost):

    Then you can limit the Maximum Appointments Per Day as suggested in an earlier message:

    This way, your users will be able to select any slot in a day, and once 35 appointments are made in a day, the whole day becomes unavailable for selection.
