Is there a way to alter the OPTIONS in a field using the Conditions logic?

Main field question is "Material. Is it"

    1. Metal
    2. Plastic

If the Main field response is "Metal" I want the options of a single choice field to provide 3 options:-

    1. Iron
    2. Steel
    3. Aluminium

However if the response is "Plastic" the options should be:

    1. Polyethylene Terephthalate (PETE or PET)
    2. High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE)
    3. Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC)
    4. Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE)
    5. Polypropylene (PP)
    6. Polystyrene or Styrofoam (PS)

I'm hoping there is a way of changing the options of any such field depending on the response given at the Main field question?

I've read all of the documentation:-

https://www.jotform.com/answers/555300-Change-description-based-on-the-selection-from-the-previous-field and others but can't see a solution. Your help is really appreciated.

Please note that it is not possible to dynamically add / remove options in dropdown, single choice or multiple choice questions. Here are the options available to achieve your requirement:

#1. Please take a look at our "Dynamic Dropdowns" widget and see if it fits into your requirement. This widget will allow you to build nested dropdown options.

#2. Another option is to add 3 separate dropdown fields one for material, another two dropdowns for Metal & Plastic options. You can then add condition to show / hide respective dropdown fields based on the user's answer. You may like to take a look at the following guide which should help you: https://www.jotform.com/help/316-how-to-show-or-hide-fields-base-on-user-s-answer

    Hope this helps.
