created new fields in Jot form and need to have my PDF mirror those fields so that when I print it, those fields have a place to go in the PDF. I can not figure out how to do that!

You can click the input box to show the "Add to PDF" button (just like what is shown in your screenshot). Click the button and move your cursor to the Original PDF you uploaded so you can position it. Here's a screenshot for your reference.
Please give it a try and let us know if you need any further assistance.

Kristine_ParisiReplied on December 8, 2020 at 2:22 PMThat wasn't actually my question. I need to redesign the PDF. So if I
added a new field in jotform called "credit card", but that field isn't
anywhere on the original PDF that I uploaded, I need to create a line and
text called "credit card" so I can match it up to the info that is put into
jotform. How would I edit the original PDF to add that line?

Greetings Kristine,
As I understand, you want to edit/customize your original PDF document to add some new form fields and then match it with an online form. Unfortunately, it's not possible to edit the original PDF document using JotForm. You will need to edit/update your original PDF locally, on your computer using any desired tool. Then, you can replace the existing original PDF for your form with the new one by following this guide below:
How to Update the PDF Through Smart PDF Forms?
Please note that you will have to match form fields to the updated original PDF again.
Please check and let us know if you have further questions.
Thank you!

Kristine_ParisiReplied on December 8, 2020 at 4:22 PMOk, I thought I had read there was a PDF editor. So I still need to keep
my subscription with Adobe then to edit the PDF it sounds like. That's a
huge bummer. It's weird jotform would allow you to add features that have
no where to go in the original.

The PDF Editor is a different feature that we offer. It allows you to create customized PDF Documents for your form submissions, it also has limited settings to edit the layout of the Orignal PDF document that will be generated when the Smart PDF Form is submitted, and create a PDF Form out from an online form that you created in JotForm.
As for uploading an additional PDF on the Smart PDF Form builder, I'm afraid that you can only upload one Original PDF at a time when you create Smart PDF Forms. But, you are free to create multiple Smart PDF Forms in your account.
Feel free to let us know if you need any further assistance.

Hi, Kristine_Parisi. I am glad to help you today.
I was checking your form, and I can see you have not added the "credit card area" yet on your original PDF.
As my colleague said, you will need to update your PDF file using another tool and then update it on your form. You may want to follow the guide below.
Complete guide 👉 how-to-update-the-pdf-through-smart-pdf-forms?
I can see you are collecting credit card information without using a payment processor. Unfortunately, it is against our Terms of Use, and your account can be suspended because of it.
I recommend you using one of our payment processors, as shown in the screencast below. Unfortunately, you will be able to map the credit card field to the PDF because of security concerns.
In summary, the best way to proceed is to remove those fields and process payments with a payment widget. You will not map this information to a PDF since it would be unsafe to your client.
Please, let us know if you need anything else 😀✨

Kristine_ParisiReplied on December 10, 2020 at 12:44 PMOk, I'm removing the payment piece. This isn't as great as I thought it
was when I signed up. Too many lacking features. We can't use a payment
processor because we won't know if customer pays or not. It would cause
too much confusion. I wish you had phone support.

Hi, Kristine_Parisi.
As you know, unfortunately, we don't have call support. Please, give us step-by-step details of what you want to achieve on your form, and I am sure we will find ways of achieving your goals.
For example, why do you need to get credit card information? Would you like to receive a response from your clients before charging them? We do have an option to charge at a later date.
Complete guide 👉 how-to-enable-payment-authorization
Now, if you would just like to have the user information on the PDF, kindly note that it would be very unsafe for your user, and that is why we do not allow it.
If you want to have a form to grab the initial information from your user, send an email with their answers and a link to complete the payment later. It is also possible.
Please, explain to us in detail what you need, and we will help you.
We will wait for your reply 😀
