How to populate a checkbox on my PDF using the value from a dropdown element?

I have a form that collects info and transfers it into multiple sections within the loaded PDF. On the first PDF it fills a section with a letter M or F (for the individuals gender) but I also need to duplicate/populate another section within the same document but as a check box as you see in the images above. How can I have a automate to (x) F when F Drop down is selected in form and vice versa (x) M when M dropdown is selected1608132127 5fda261f740be Screenshot 10

    Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

You can duplicate a linked field in PDF form. When you right-click on the linked field, you will see a white box, which can copy the field. Click on it and then drag and drop it anywhere in the form. It will populate the form field.

I hope this helps. Let us know if you need further assistance.

    Hello, carvo83

Unfortunately, we cannot automatically mark the Spouse/Domestic Partner field on your PDF with a checkbox if you are using a dropdown choice. It will mark just one field on your PDF with F or M values. You can't also link the options to different fields, as you can do with a checkbox element.

You can just change the dropdown to a checkbox to solve it. If you want to keep the dropdown, you can create a hidden checkbox that will be populated by conditions with the dropdown choice. Here is an example. 1608143542 5fda52b67aabe Screenshot 10

You can see that you can normally populate the field on your PDF with a form hidden element.
