Guest Account: Why can't I reset my password?

Hi, I can enter my email and my selected password, then the screen goes right back to the login page. I tried the lost password function, and even when I get the password reset instructions I immediately get a message that time has expired for the renewal. What is going on? I'll keep trying.

Thank you Zahara. The web site I was signing up from did not indicate a
guest account or any other kind of account, it was just one of those 'here
is where you register' pages. Thanks for checking on this for me.
