Trouble setting up pay later option with custom amounts

    Hi JF,

I am needing to have a credit card payment SQUARE widget that would collect my client's credit / debit cards info but the actual charge would happen later manually after we have validated their purchase.

Additionally at the moment of filling the form customers enter their custom amount to be charged (They receive it as a quote prior to filling out the form and its different each time so we can not have products with set pricing).

The form is being emailed to customers.

Please help set it up for us.

    Kind regards,

    Dennis

    Greetings @denisand,

Unfortunately in "Square", there is no way for you to give a choice to your customers for paying later. If they are selecting your products, then they'll have to pay before submitting your form.

The only workaround to this is that you create two forms, both should have similar fields. But in this new form, instead of integrating Square, you'll need to use "Purchase Order"Purchase Order is the payment widget that allows you to take the order, but your users don't have to pay for it.

You cannot use both of the payment widgets in the same form. JotForm does not allow this for security reasons. This is the reason that two forms will be needed.

However, the feature you mentioned is available in PayPal integration. You can make a transaction by dividing the total price with the PayPal Pay Later option. I kindly recommend you check our related page: Buy Now, Pay Later Online Forms

Please give it a try and feel free to reach out if you have other questions or need some more help.
