I'm losing fields entered into my PDF forms

I've been working on entering form fields into my PDFs, but for some reason the connection keeps dropping and I'm losing fields I've already entered. I've had to close the page and restart 2 or 3 times already and I'm having to redo work that's already been done. I'm getting really frustrated. How can I keep my PDF from losing the form fields I've already entered?
