How to trigger Zapier when someone edits a submission?

    Hello!

I am building a complaint form with 2 parts:

In part 1, an employee will fill out the form and submit it.

Then, a director will receive a notification email. When he/she clicks on "Edit submission", they will be redirected to the form to complete part 2.

I am using Zapier to send the form's data to Excel (online). It works perfectly for part 1. However, Zapier is not triggered when the submission is edited (part 2).

I saw a few threads discussing the same problem (i.e. https://www.jotform.com/answers/697340-zapier-does-not-seem-to-be-triggered-when-a-form-is-updated). They all say that they found a solution, but they do not fully explain this solution.

How can an edited submission trigger Zapier and update a row in Excel, please?

I found another potential solution using webhooks: https://www.jotform.com/answers/2137906-can-we-trigger-zapier-action-on-submission-edit

I tried following the instructions, but I am not sure what to put under "Add a new webhook" (I am not sure what URL I should enter). Unfortunately, I am not familiar with webhooks.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello there,

Thank you for reaching out to Jotform Support! After speaking with my Team and looking over some similar use cases, it looks like the Webhook URL is provided by Zapier Support when this method is utilized.

Please reach out to the Zapier Support Team for assistance in formulating your Webhook URL.

    Thank you!
