How to create order form with limited overall stock

    Hi there!

I'm trying to create an order form to sell cookies. This is the current link to the form: https://form.jotform.com/213168732977164

However, I have finals coming up soon, and want to limit how many cookie orders I take, so I only want sell about 8 dozen total. I am also selling cinnamon rolls and want to set a separate limit on those as well.

However, when I create a Product Order form, it only lets me control the stock available for each individual flavor-- for example, one of my products is a chocolate chip cookie. I can limit it to only have 4 dozen chocolate chip cookies available for sale, but then my other flavors are still available which means people could order them and overwhelm me by placing more than the total number of orders I can accept. For example I am also selling 3 other flavors of cookies and customers could max out the number of those available, pushing me over my overall limit for how many cookies I can make.

I want to be able to set an overall limit that when a certain number of ALL of a certain type of products are sold (either cookies or cinnamon rolls), I am "sold out" and no more cookies or rolls are available.

    How can I accomplish this?

    Thank you!

    Sincerely,

    Madison

    Hello Madison,

Thank you for contacting Jotform Support.

Unfortunately the Stock option in the Product List can only be set for each product or sub product and it can't be linked to the stock of other products so you can oversee the entire stock of all the products, I'll raise this issue to our developers team to consider the possibility of adding this feature, although we can't provide an estimated time for when this feature would be implemented but you will be notified through this ticket once we have an updated.

I see that you've already enabled the Low Stock Alert, you can track your stock by this alert so when it reaches the to a certain level you can decrease the stock of the other products to avoid over limit requests, I know that this is not a practical solution but it's the available option in hands at the moment.

    Thank you for you understanding.
