How to define selected options by default in the multiple choice field?

How do I have registrants mark their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices on a list of options?

You can define selected options. In the multiple-choice properties, by clicking the advance section, you can customize selected options by default.

After that, the first three options will be selected.
