spacer widget issues

I added a spacer widget in and have it set to 1px width. Do you know why it would be giving me this much space. I go to change the dimensions and it dosent seem to want to change. Ive trashed it and put new ones in and it still seems to be glitching. What am i doing wrong?

Please try typing the value without the px units. I have tested the widget like so and it appears to operate this way.
