    Hi

    I'm using this form: http://form.jotformeu.com/form/41523075736353

and it works perfectly under Firefox. But in IE (version 8.0 up), and Chrome, after submission, there is always:

    Upload Error
File could not be uploaded for some reason.

Please go back and fix the problem(s)

Can you tell me what might be wrong with my form?

    best regards
    Paweł

    Hello Pawel,

I'm sorry for the trouble caused to you.

I did test your form in chrome and IE as well but I am unable to replicate the issue you are having. I was able to successfully upload a file and I was redirected to your custom thank you page. Please check the screenshot below:

Have you embedded this form in your web page? Please share the web page URL and we will take a look.

We will wait for your response.

    Thank you!

    Hi

Thanks for a prompt reply. I am surprised that you could not reproduce this behaviour :(
I can see your submissions on the page as well as e-mail notifications so you clearly made it work for you.

The form itself is embedded into this site http://codedive.pl/en/registration-form/

The Upload Error pops up regardless of whether I use the form on codedive.pl site or the 'pure' jotform.com link for the form. And I have just checked in again on a pure chrome install, as well as chrome IE tab -> same error :(

I was able to reproduce that upload error on your form. I am still testing this, and I will get back to you quickly.

Can you please do a quick submission test with disabled Send Post Data option to see if that makes any difference?

    Thank you.

    Hi

I have tried that and the same error occurs.

I have also tried with the multiple file upload field (with a limit of 1 file) but I get also the same error.

EDIT: The problem seems to be only with the file upload functionality. Disabling the 'required' property and processing the form without the uploaded file works fine in IE and chrome.

EDIT2: I have disabled the FTP submission sending integration and it is working. This is a temporary workaround of course ( I hope). Is there any reason why this functionality should work only under firefox?

Please let me know if you need any additional tests and/or logs.

    best regards
    Pawel

    Hello Pawel,

For some unknown reason, I am unable to replicate the issue you are having. I did check your form which you have embedded in your web page and I was able to successfully submit your from without any issue.

If you don't mind, can we keep this thread on hold for a while. Since my colleague was able to replicate the issue on his end and he is currently not available. I would like to wait for him to come back and then if required we will create a bug report and send it to our back end team.

I am sending a note to my colleague @Mike_T.

    Thank you!

    Hi

You cannot replicate it, because I have made it work, as stated in the post above:

EDIT2: I have disabled the FTP submission sending integration and it is working. This is a temporary workaround of course ( I hope). Is there any reason why this functionality should work only under firefox?

When the FTP upload is enabled, the form cannot be submitted under IE and chrome.

    best regards
    Paweł

    Hello Pawel,

Please accept my apology. I am not sure how I over looked the "EDIT2" of you earlier response.

I would suggest you to please clone your form and then configure the FTP submission in the cloned form so that we can test this issue further. The following guide should help you clone form from your own account:  http://www.jotform.com/help/27-How-to-clone-an-existing-form-from-your-account

We will wait for your response.

    Thank you!

    Hi Pawel,

I test submitted your form http://www.jotformpro.com/form/41833115265955  and uploaded a file.

I use the Chrome browser and was able to successfully upload and submit the form.

File upload does not work in Internet Explorer, Chrome Image 1 Screenshot 20

I did not encounter the error message during uploading of file and submission.

Are you still having this issue on your end?

    --

If it is, may Isuggest an alternative process to check if there is issue with your FTP account.

    1. You can try creating a very basic form with just Name, email, and upload field.

    2. Integrate the basic form also to your FTP account.

    3. Then test submit the form on your end.

Check if the same upload/submit error message that happen on the previous form also happen on this test form.

Please inform us if issue still persist.

    Thanks!
