If I cancel my subscription today, when will it take effect?

I am billed around the first of the month each month. If I cancel my monthly service on the tenth of the month (I've already paid for that month), will my account still be able to accept unlimited submissions until the end of the month?

Yes you're correct with that. When you cancel your subscription, you will not be billed again. Your account stays on the Premium plan until your paid period expires which will be on August 05, 2014. After this date, your account will automatically downgrade to free.
