Error Messages with PayPal Express

    Hi,

    I'm trying to create a form to collect donations using PayPal Express. I can't seem to get it to work, though. With my current setup (no digital goods, no shipping address required, and API information filled in), when you click "Submit" it just gets stuck on "Please wait…". When I click the "Digital Goods" checkbox in Jotform wizard setup, PayPal attempts to load but I get either "We are unable to complete your request at this time. Please try again later. We apologize for the inconvenience." error or an "Internal Server Error - Read error" (in Firefox). I thought this might be a PayPal issue but there's nothing wrong with my account, and the regular PayPal checkout works just fine.

    Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    I've made a test and was able to reproduce the same error, it only happens with the donation field.

    I'm forwarding this to our second level so they can fix it ASAP

    Hello Matt,

    We are happy to inform you that the error you mentioned (in red) has been fixed. It is related to donation/custom payments.

    However, upon testing your form, I found out that your PayPal account is not signed up to accept Digital Goods payments, hence the error returned.

    Please do enable Digital Goods for your account in order to proceed.

    Otherwise, you will have to uncheck the said option on your form's integration.

    Thanks for your response! I unchecked "Digital Goods" from the wizard and now a blank page shows upon clicking "Submit". Any thoughts?

    Thanks, it's working now with "digital goods" unchecked. It uses the old express checkout though, so I wanted to check "digital goods" to take advantage of the new system. How can I enable that in my PayPal account with their new website design? I can't seem to find it.

    Such errors are quite common. I wonder why most users fail to understand that it is mandatory to enable the “Accept Digital Goods Payments” to be able to complete the shipping process.
