How can we use approval workflow based on our requirements

My partner and I work together trying to meet the technology needs of our district. Would it be possible to set our form up so that as a submission is made one of us marks that we’re working on it and then we check it off as we complete it? Another feature that would great would be once completed the person who submitted the form gets a response from us.

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. This should be possible by using the form feature Approval Flows which can be found on the form Settings as shown below:

With the Approval Flows, you should be able to create a workflow similar to the one I have created based on your feedback if I understand it correctly as shown below:
