Conditional formatting for multiple drop down lists

    Hello,

I have 10 distributors who submit multiple stores data and placement photos.  I have created a form that has multiple fields where they can use a drop down, pick their store and upload an image for that store.  I am using page breaks, considering collapsibles and am now interested in Conditional Formatting.

Each distributor has between 50-300 stores.  In the past, for another reason, I created a separate form for each distributor with their own set of stores.  I'd prefer not to have to create a new form for each person. Can I create a rule that depending on which distributor name they chose, the drop down list field would only reflect their stores?

So far I've only created one distributors drop down list of stores.  If I create multiple drop down store lists for other distributors where would I put it in the form?

Also, I created several fields for this multi upload form.  Can I create a rule that when the distributor answers how many stores he will be submitting only that amount of fields will appear on the form?

One more question.  What would be the best way for the distributor to add, remove or update stores?

I was thinking of asking, "Do you need to add a new store", if the answer is yes, then a text field/fields would appear where they can enter the data.  I would guess they could do the same for remove or update.  And, what if there were several that needed changing?  If they say no, then nothing happens and they continue to submit button.

Any help, alternative ideas, workarounds is appreciated!

    Thank you!! :)

    KC

    Hello KC,

If I understand your requirement correctly, you want to display the list of stores based on the selection of the distributor. Is that correct?

Please be noted that there is no direct way of populating the drop down field based on the selection of any other form field. To achieve your requirement, you can take advantage of our conditions feature to show / hide drop down field based on the selection of distributor field. Here are the steps you should follow:

    1. Add a drop down field to list all the distributor.

    2. Add one drop down field for every distributor to list the stores.

    3. Add condition in your form to check the selection of the distributor and then show the related store drop down. Please check the screenshot below on how to add conditions:

There is another way also to achieve your requirement. You can add "Dynamic Dropdowns" widget in your form which will display the child dropdown based on the selection of the main dropdown options. Please take a look at it here:  http://widgets.jotform.com/widget/dynamic_dropdowns

    Hope this helps.

Do get back to us if you have any questions.

    Thank you!
