showing hidden parts on form

I ask questions on my form that determine what is shown in other fields. when i choose print form at the end it hides the empty fields correctly but when I try to make a PDF of the completed form it wants to print all fields including hidden. I know I can choose what fields to show in the submission window but this is not a true representation of the completed form.
