Form builder not functioning correctly

Seemeingly similar to other users, I'm having troubles with the responsiveness of some of the app's AJAXy UI elements.

    Have tried in:

In IE 11.0.9600.17416, when clicking on a project, it doesn't even bring up the usual "Edit Form" "Inbox" "More" options.

In Firefox 22.0, drag and drop functionality doesnt work at all.  Upgrading to 31.0 fixes it.

However, the browser I use is Chrome, version Chrome 39.0.2171.71 m, and the drag and drop doesn't work.  I've cleared all of my browser cache, and still no change.

This has always been temperamental for me, as I've used Jotform on-and-off for almost 2 years.  However, it's currently not working at all and this makes the product unusable.

There seem to be many other users reporting this issue, and who knows how many leave it unreported.

Please help, I want to continue using Jotform!

I should have added: I'm using Windows 8.1, but am using the browsers in normal desktop mode.

    Hi,

Apologies for the inconvenience that this might have caused you. Are you referring to some specific app integration not loading successfully? Because what I understand is that you are having problems in the Form builder in general. Is that right?

Upon checking in our end, everything seems to work fine, although there are some hiccups, but clearing the form's cache, aside from the browser's, usually fixes it.

The issues on the browser's might also be because of some extensions or plugins installed, usually an adblocker or something related to script blocks causes the unresponsiveness of the form builder's feature and function. You could try disabling all of them, and try them one by one if there's one of them causing an issue.

I hope this helps. Let us know if the above solution fixes your problem.

    Thank you.

Thanks for the response but this doesn't solve the issue.

I should also note that in order to select a form element, I have to right click on it.  I'm not sure if this is expected behaviour, or part of the same issue...

It's fine and well for you to say that it works "on your end", but it doesn't work on mine :-(  How about getting some more details and trying to recreate the issue.  Like I said, have had it for a while, and there seems to be different behaviour across different browser versions

    Hi,

I apologize for the troubles that this might have caused you. I'm not sure on how to address this one though because the form builder seems to work properly in the environment that I have, Windows 7 64bit OS, in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer latest version. I may need more details to see where the problem might be.

You are using Windows 8.1, right? Are you using a touch enabled PC or Laptop? If you are using a touch enabled device, it could be the possible cause why you can't properly drag and drop the elements. To fix this, you might need to go to chrome://flags/ to disable touch event.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

Thanks Charlie.  Disabling the touch events in Chrome did indeed fix this issue.

    Many thanks

Glad that fixes the problem. Sometimes it might be very tricky to find the culprit, it may look like a browser incompatibility but rather it's like a device-OS-browser mismatched with the websites' structure like the Jquery drag and drop function.

If you need an assistance again or have any other concerns, please feel free to open up a new thread here in the forum.

    Thank you.
