I am trying to take an existing contract in a Word document and paste the text into a new Jotform, but when I add a text box and try to Ctrl+V to paste, nothing happens. How can I paste?

If you would like to add a body of text to your form, you would need to use the "Text" field to add this to your form.
You would then me able to edit the field and copy your text.
You can also choose to add our Short Scrollable Terms Widget to add your contract details.
I hope this helps, please inform us if you need further assistance.

I am aware that I need to use the text option, the problem is when I try to paste my text into the box nothing happens. Ctrl+V doesn't paste my text in the box. Why?

Do you mean to say that you are unable to copy and paste the content from a word document to your JotForm's text field?
I am not sure if the content of your word document is copied successfully to your clipboard. Can you try and paste it in a notepad and see if you are able to do so?
You may also like to clear your browser cache and try again. The following guide should help you clear your browser cache: http://www.wikihow.com/Clear-Your-Browser's-Cache
Please check the screenshot below on how to add the content / paste the content in the "Text" field:
Hope this helps.
