Is it possible to set a limited number of available time slots / places for certain date and time?

My point is to allow just certain amount of people to assign for certain activity / certain time.

Currently using following template ...

 Is it as well possible to directly connect calendar to the form so assignees will see which slots are still available?

Unfortunately adding a calendar will not solve your problem to allow only a certain submissions per slot. 

You may like to take a look at our "Inventory" or "Gift Registry" widget and that should solve your problem. 

Please take a look at the following cloned form where I have added "Gift Registry" widget to address your requirement:  http://form.jotformpro.com/form/50203528991960? In the above form, I have added 10 slots for every time frame and that means you can only have 10 users per time slot.
