Problem: Uploadiing large video files (smaller files work, but I need large files)

    Form url: http://form.jotform.ca/form/50104183422239

The max file is set to: 10485760KB or 10.4858GB

I tried to set the Max file size to 5000000KB or 5 GB

    Steps so far:

    - Verified the file extension is set to .mov or .mp4

    - tried different files on different computer and browsers, different physical location

(IE on windows, Chrome/Firefox/Safari on Mac)

-tried switching from multiple file upload to single file upload

-forced the file extension on the file upload so it matches .mov or .mp4

    Error message:

If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server: Go to the Chrome menu > Settings > Show advanced settings... > Change proxy settings... > LAN Settings and deselect "Use a proxy server for your LAN".

Currently, the JotForm Upload field does not support upload size of more than 1GB in single session.

Example, if you want to upload a 2GB file size, you have to do the process separately at 2x at 1GB each.

    related user guide: -Changing-the-Upload-Size-Limit

You are correct in using the single upload option in the upload field because this is more stable for larger file size.

Were you trying to upload a file size greater than 1GB?  You did not mention the actual file size you were trying to. If you can find means to split the file into multiple smaller file size, you should be able to upload them separately.

Please inform us if there is more we can assist you with.

    Thanks.

The file I was trying to upload was 3.9 Gigs..... I was unaware of your 1 gig limit. The files are video files... Is there a way to send the file directly to dropbox (by pass the file limit)?

The forms are great! I do wish this upload limit was clearer so I knew ahead of time. Any suggestions? We need to get video files (not youtube links) and send them to dropbox.

That is probably the reason why it did not work as our system will only accept files up to 1GB in size.

Actually as shown on the guide my colleague Jonathan had mentioned - Changing upload size limits - the DropBox limits are from 150MB to 300MB with going over 150 MB not being suggested at this time.

Thank you and my colleague has already raised this to our developers to see if it would be possible to raise the limit of 1GB per file to something bigger.

For now I would suggest adding multiple single file upload fields to match the size needed.

I know that having multiple fields is not as stylish as the single multi-upload field, but it will allow you to upload more than 1GB on your jotform.

for example: 4 single upload fields would be enough to upload the 3.9 GB file (of course the file would need to be split at or under 1GB limit).
