    Hello clubsfacility,

I am not sure if I have understood your question correctly. You seems to looking to create two columns where one column should be read only and in another one users should be able to input values. Is that correct?

There are two options to achieve your requirement:

    1. You should add matrix field in your form where you can have heading and input fields. Please check the screenshot below:

    2. Another option is to add "Configurable List" widget in form and configure it based on your requirement. http://widgets.jotform.com/widget/configurable_list

    Hope this helps.

Do get back to us if you have any questions.

    Thank you!

    Thank you for your response.

I was hoping to get a table to look like the following where only the Best Officer Price column needs to be filled in,

    Item Number

    Description

    Best Offer Price

    #1321

    3.2m x 1.7m

    ____

    #1322

    Rectangular

    ____

     #1323

    Blue _____

    Total

    Hello clubsfacility,

You need to display the total amount as well. Is that correct?

Unfortunately input values of the matrix field cannot be used in calculation. Have you checked our "Spreadsheet" widget already?  You should be able to add the desired number of rows & columns and also add the calculation as well.

Please take a look at the following demo form where I have added the spreadsheet widget and also added the rows with calculation:  http://form.jotformpro.com/form/50529318161957?

Feel free to clone this form for a closer look. The following guide should help you in form cloning:  http://www.jotform.com/help/42-How-to-Clone-an-Existing-Form-from-a-URL

    Hope this helps.

Do get back to us if you have any questions.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Thanks for your help, that's close to what I am after.

I have been trying to use the widget but have been using the matrix in the mean time.

From the above is it possible to give headings to the first 2 columns and fill in the the 2 columns with the required information and leave only the last column required to be filled out by the person filling in the form.

    Hello clubsfacility,

That mean you want to make the first two columns read only. Is that correct?

That seems to be the problem. It is not possible to make the spreadsheet cells readonly but I am trying to hide it and add a text through custom css code. But custom css for individual cell does not seems to work.

For now I have gone ahead and added the headings in the following demo form:  http://form.jotformpro.com/form/50529318161957?

I will get back to you if I am able to add custom css code to make the first two columns read only. I will also create a demo with normal text field and "Form Calculation" widget as well.

    Thank you!

    Yes that is correct.

If you can, that would be of great help and much appreciated.

    Hello clubsfacility,

What about if I create a demo with regular text boxes for your calculation requirement? If you are okay with this, I will create a demo and share it with you.

I do not think it is possible to make the spreadsheet widget columns not editable but I have not given up yet and I will still try to find a possible work around.

We will wait for your response.

    Thank you!

    Hi ashwin_d

If you can that would be great and I could go from there.

I thought that this may be the case as I haven't found many options regarding this.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello clubsfacility,

Please take a look at the following demo form and see if this works as expected:  http://form.jotformpro.com/form/50552554205954?

I have injected several custom css code in form to place the form fields in desired location. Feel free to clone this form for a closer look. The following guide should help you in form cloning:  http://www.jotform.com/help/42-How-to-Clone-an-Existing-Form-from-a-URL

Are you able to send me source code for the demo so I can input it into my already made document?

When I clone it. It looks like the attached and I am not sure why. When I go to preview all the extra numbers disapper.

    Hello clubsfacility,

I can revise the custom css code so that the form fields are displayed correctly.

Let me clarify that it is a work around for your requirement and you will not be able to add rows and columns as it is. You will have to add text boxes and add custom css code to place the form fields in desired position.

Do get back to us with your exact requirement of number of rows, columns and I will do the needful.

We will wait for your response.

    Thank you!

    Hi ashwin_d

Thankyou for your help with this but at this stage it may seem easier with Excel for this can occur.

I hope that this can work in the future and if I have any questions I will ask.

    I appreciate your help.
