How can I download .ai files through jotform?

We've gotten various .ai file submissions for artwork through the quote form we created. We are able to open .png, .jpeg, .jpg, .pdf, and various other formats, but we haven't been able to open any of the .ai files we've received. When we try to download the file, it goes from a .ai to a .ai.ps file which makes it unrecognizable to the postscript conversion software.

There is no problems with the .ai files being uploaded and/or downloaded from JotForm. Maybe it is the software you are using, have you tried opening .ai files not downloaded from JotForm? If you are using windows, here is a list of Best Free AI Viewer Software For Windows.

Yep, we're working on mac computers with adobe illustrator software so there should be no problem opening up these kinds of files. Also, the files start out as .ai files on the form, but when we download them from jotform, the .ps is added to the .ai file extension. We'll ask the client if they have any problems with their software.

Yes, please check with your client as well as checking it again on your end and let us know again to verify if you're still having this issue.

Aside from that though, I also checked this from my end and I can confirm that I don't see the file getting appended with .ps as you mentioned.

This makes me wonder if perhaps it might be a mac (osx) related problem.

Anyhow, do let us know what your client says if it's still a problem and we'll try to investigate it more.

    UPDATE:

One of our team members whom I work closely with a lot checked this on his Mac since he has one but the file downloaded fine only with the ".ai" as normal on his end as well.

If after checking with your client it is still an issue could you also please be sure to let us know what Browser|Browser Version you and your client are using?

We will try our best to help to narrow down and find the cause of the problem if related to JotForm.
