I'd like to format each form submission into an Excel template that I already have. Is this possible?

If I understand correctly you want to capture the submitted data in your form in an Excel file, is that correct? If so, you can integrate your form with Google Spreadsheet.

I see that you mention a template, so I'm not sure if what you want to do is to populate the template with the data in your form. If so, you can use the integration mentioned above and then use that sheet as the data source for your excel file so you can adapt the data to your template.

Let us know if this is what you're looking for.
    Thanks.

this is what i'm looking to do, but it looks like you have to run it through the klipfolio dashboard. is it possible to do as a separate sheet in excel, or somehow generically so i can run it through my asana dashboard?

    Hi,

It is possible to download your submission data as an excel report:

However, this report would come in the same format each time, you would then need to import your data to the spreadsheet that has your template.

Unfortunately it is not possible to send your submission data to your spreadsheet pre-formatted.  We do not currently have the ability to format the way your data is pushed to the sheet.

I believe Raul was on the right track, but we kind of veered off topic a bit...

Like David said, there is no way to pre-format the spreadsheet. But you can format it afterwards, by either downloading the Excel or integrating with Google Spreadsheet.

    Cheers!
