How to send email notiication to the user after they make edits on their form

I am wondering if it would be possible to send a submission summary to users who've edited their original submission?

For example, a user submits a rental form containing:

    1. a text box for his email (filled)

    2. a text box for the name of rental item (filled)

    3. a date/time for the date that the item was rented out (filled)

    4. a date/time for the date that the item was returned (empty).

I have it set up so that the user will receive an email that allows him to edit the submission if/when the item is returned. I would like jotform to send an email summarizing the edits to the user after he submits the edits.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Based on what you have just said above, there will be one field that is empty. Once filled out, the email will need to be sent to the user - and this is something that you can do with a bit of conditions.

You can see more about the actual setup here: How to send to a specific email address based on a selection?

Of course, if you need any assistance we would be happy to do so, so feel free to let us know.

    Thank you for your help!

I set it up so that if Date Returned is Filled, it sends an email (Notification 2) to the salesman email. However, the condition is not triggering even after the submission is edited (to fill in the Date Returned). I'm wondering if you could help me figure out what I'm doing wrong...

    Hi,

I believe instead of using an autoresponder for the email for the edits, it would be better if you just use the notification BUT using the email field to act like an autoresponder, you'll still need to use the conditional logic for this.

Here's how I set it up:

    1. Set up another email notification (not an autoresponder), but this will be the email to where we will send to inform the user about the edits he made when we fills out the "Date Returned" field. Just set the notification as usual, for the recipient address, just user your email (this will change depending on the conditional logic.

    2. In the conditional logic, if the "Date Returned" field is filled, the "Notifier 2" will be sent to the Salesman Email.

    3. To fetch the value in the Salesman Email, get the field name which in this case is {salesmanEmail}. You can find it in the Properties field of that field.

    I hope that helps.

    Kind regards.
