How to enable users to autofill presubmitted info at their second time filling the purchase form

Hi Team! I have several questions I would like to ask whether it's possible or not to do with Jotform.

I'm currently making a purchase form for my website. However, I'd like for repeat customers to be able to skip filling out each details one by one and go straight to modify their purchase details only.

I was thinking of making a page where after the user submit the purchase order for the first time, for the next purchases they could instead go to a page where they only need to input their name and email, and would be directed to a prepopulated purchase form with all the details they have submitted initially, so they would only to change their purchase details.

Is it possible to do so? Any help is greatly appreciated!

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I was using weebly, so I was thinking of integrating Google Drive or similar apps to store the database.

    Hello arteaindonesia,

Unfortunately it is currently not possible to achieve your requirement.

Though it is possible to populate your form fields by taking advantage of our "URL Parameters" feature but is it not possible to get the data from any external sources or even user's previous submissions.

The only possibility is to download your form's full source code and add custom code to read the data from external source / gDrive or JotForm API (to read submission data) and populate your form fields.

    Hope this answers your query.

Do get back to us if you have any questions.

    Thank you!

Hi, thank you for the excellent support!

The only possibility is to download your form's full source code and add custom code to read the data from external source / gDrive or JotForm API (to read submission data) and populate your form fields.

If it's okay, would you kindly specify the step per step to do this?

Also, if the above is not possible, let me change tactics. I'm aware that Jotform has the ability to enable users to edit their submission using the edit link feature in the autoresponder email. Let's say that everytime a user make a purchase, I'd manually compile them (or if there's a way to automate this, super awesome!) into a gdrive that entails their name, email and the link to edit their submission; so that using a separate form that will prompt them for their name or email (or just email), it'd automatically hook them to the link to edit, brought them to their original form, allow them to modify their orders and submit this new order.

Basically, I'm aiming to try to make it easier for repeat customers to purchase by reducing the steps they have to go through with each purchase (in this case, reducing the amount of information they have to input into the form). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello,

If it's okay, would you kindly specify the step per step to do this?

You will have to actually hire a programmer who can do this for you. It will not be an easy task to connect to google spreasheet / gDrive or JotForm API to get the submission data.

Coming to your second approach, I do not thank even that is possible. Please be noted that if you use edit link, it will always edit the same submission. I would also like to inform you that when you edit submissions, it is not possible to edit the submission data of payment question.

    Thank you!
