Payflow integration changes for paypal - do we need to do anything?

    We received the following from Paypal and were concerned that we may be impacted by this. Will someone please let us know if we need to take action and if so, what to do? Here is the email:



    Payflow integration changes.

    Virginia Nurses Association,

    We want to let you know about upcoming changes that may impact your Payflow integration.

    Because these changes are technical in nature, we advise that you consult with your partner, website vendor, or individuals responsible for your Payflow integration. They will be able to identify what, if any, changes are needed. Please forward the information below to your technical contact for evaluation. We’re here to help your technical contact to ensure you continue to process payments through your current integration with us.

    The following Payflow URLs are scheduled to be deprecated on August 3, 2015:

    If you’re currently integrated with one of these URLs, you’ll need to update your integration to the corresponding URL. Not doing so may impact your ability to accept and process payments. Following are the URLs that need to be replaced, along with the correct endpoint that needs to be used:

    URL to move to (include USER, VENDOR, PARTNER, and PWD parameters in all API requests)

    Next steps

    We’re planning maintenance that will involve shutting down the URLs for specific periods of time to assist merchants with identifying whether they need to make changes to their integration. Please watch the alert section in the PayPal Manager for any updates, as well as the URL outage schedule.

    For instructions on modifying your integration to conform to these changes, as well as the planned outage schedule, we’ve set up a microsite with detailed information. Any changes to the schedule will be updated on the microsite.

    Thank you for reporting this to us.

    We currently don't support a direct integration with PayFlow so this change wouldn't affect your forms. So, you don't need to worry about this.
