Hi,
Unfortunately we do not have examples if you are talking about the live recurring payments. However, any Paypal payments available in the Payment Tools should work once configured properly. You can also run a test using sandbox mode if you want to make a test payment.
About the error you have mentioned, this article will probably help. You are right that it should be enabled on your Paypal account. https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/About-Payments-Archive/DPRP-is-disabled-for-this-merchant-ShortMessage-DPRP-is-disabled/td-p/654451

found couple extra problems
turning on sandbox messes up api credentials so when you test you get error:
Security error Security header is not validscreenshot of integration test with sandbox DISABLED
screenshot of integration test with sandbox ENABLED

The PayPal sandbox integration will not accept your regular API credentials.
If you would like to test the integration in sandbox mode, you will need to use sandbox credentials.
Sandbox accounts are crated via https://developer.paypal.com, and managed via https://developer.paypal.com and https://www.sandbox.paypal.com. You will also need to enable the DPRP for your sandbox pro account if you would like to test the recurring payments.
