    Hello,

i cannot seem to get the autofill to work on my form. Before designer it seemed to work on more plain forms i have. Please help! We use the autofill feature to save a lot of time when entering a lot of similar data.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

I checked your form and it seems that the Autofill feature is working fine.

Please note that the Autofill feature will only work when you access the form in the same computer and browser as the data on the form are saved in the computer's browser cache. Can you try again and see if it is working now? I have tested your form using Chrome and FireFox. If you are still encountering the issue, please provide to us the browser and device you are using when you encounter the issue.

We will wait for your response.
    Regards.

    Christian,

Thanks for your quick response. It is still not working for me. I am using Chrome Version 45.0.2454.101 m and Windows 7 64 bit. I do have autofill enabled in Chrome.

    Thanks!

I believe you are looking for something different than our autofill feature.  What the autofill functionality does, is save data that was previously filled in the form but not submitted.  When you refresh the page or come back to the form without submitting it, your data will still be there.

If you are trying to pre-populate the fields, here is our guide on how to do so:

    http://www.jotform.com/help/71-Prepopulating-fields-to-your-JotForm-via-URL-parameters

And here is our app that will do it for you:

    http://prepopulate.jotform.io/

This will create a URL to your form with data already filled in.

I have in the past been able to get forms to show previously entered data when you double click or start typing in the field. For example we may be going through the same model for several entries we have in the past been able to just double click and select that text. Am I missing something?

    Thanks!

That is the browser autocomplete functionality.  The JotForm autofill functionality automatically fills the field.  Slightly different than the browsers functionality.  If you have updated or changed your browser settings recently, the autocomplete functionality may have changed as well.

I have recreated the form without any design. It will noty even suggest autofill on fields I filled out. It does however recognize similar field inputs from the browser from a time i previously filled out the form I cloned weeks ago. I have also went to other forms on the web and it works fine. It suggests to me that at one point my jotforms did save the data but now are not.

    Here is our autofill feature:

    https://www.jotform.com/help/227-How-to-Enable-Auto-Fill-Feature

It saves the data in the browser and fills the field when you return the form.  It does not supply autocomplete hints, it fills in the field for you.  If your browser is supplying autocomplete hints, rather than filling in the data automatically, that is not part of our autofill functionality.
