Can you allow multiple choices for a radio button or check box list?

I have only been able to allow multiple choices for a drop down but would like to use a list with a radio buttons of check box and allow the user to choose more than one item.  Can this be done?

Radio buttons are set to allow for only a single options, checkbox fields can indeed be set to allow for any range of selections that you would like:
