Is there a way to capture an email address within the survey as a hidden field?

I'm hoping to be able to capture the email address used to access the survey, so to expand, an eshot will be sent out with a call to action to fill out the quesionnaire, is it possible that when they click on the CTA to access the survey their email address can be automatically captured within an email field on the survey? Also it would be fantastic to be able to hide that field so in essence we can silently capture this data?
If so how do we go about this?

Many thanks for any help on this topic,

    Hi,

Do you mean you want to prepopulate a hidden E-mail field in your form? You can prepopulate a field in your form by passing a parameter in the form URL. You can check this guide for more information: Prepopulating fields to your JotForm via URL parameters. If you are referring to a different concern, can you provide us more details regarding the issue. Please also provide the link or name of the form in question. If the form is embedded to your website, please also provide the exact URL where you have embedded the form.

Do let us know if you need further assistance.
    Regards.

    Hi Chriistian,

Thats fantastic, are we able to prepopulate a field from the default email address used?
Customer receives an email requesting them to complete a questionnaire, on clicking the link which will take them to the jotform we would want to capture the original email address that the eShot was sent to and prepopulate the hidden email form..

    MailChimp>Email Client>Jotform

    Many thanks,

Yes, that is correct, you can add the default email, or any other email, based on your preferences.

Basically sending them the link such as (this is only an example and correct setup depends on the actual form):

    https://form.jotform.com/53274768522967?email=myemail@address.com

Which you can of course hide behind some keyword, such as the following:

    Fill out this form

The trick here is to design your email template in MailChimp so that the email tag is passed right after it. Using my example above this would look like:

    https://form.jotform.com/53274768522967?email=*|EMAIL|*

You might need to contact them in regards to some setup, but feel free to contact us in regards to any questions related to your jotform setup and we would be happy to assist with the same.
