Please make sure that the same private key was the one generated when you encrypted the form.

You just need to upload the private.key file into the Encryption pop-up window when viewing the submission of encrypted form.

Can you please try again for the last time. There will be no other key file that will work except that one that was generated during the encryption process.

Let us know if issue persist.

    Thanks.

I did that... all my data is still encrypted.
I have lost about 20,000 submissions to our petition because of this issue!!!

Is there a way I can reupload the key?

Here's a workaround that you can try to do. Can you try to re-download the key from your form's edit page? You can try to do that by, disabling and enabling the Encrypt Form option of you form. In this way, you will be prompted to create/download the key again.

Once you have the newly downloaded key, please try to use it and let us know how it goes. We will wait for your response.

    Thank you.

Well, minus about two months worth, I have recovered most of the data, but one of the private keys I generated has disappeared.

Please make sure to store the keys in a secure place since we cannot decrypt the data if the key is lost.

The forms can also have different keys, so you will need to use a correct key to see the specific data.

Once you upload a key it will be sored in your browser local storage, you can clear the browser local storage (the process is different in different browsers) to be prompted to upload the key once again.
