configuarble lists

I have a configurable list that has a date selection that is marked required, but when filling out the form you are able to bypass it because it defaults to the current date in those boxes. An accurate date is essential to this form working properly. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately inside of Configurable list DateTime field will always shown current date, so it is possible to bypass it, because date is already entered. You would need to ask your users to pick correct date or you can use regular DataTime field witch can be empty, so your users will not be able to bypass it.
