You don't need to create additional Autoresponer.
If you want an instant, pre-written reply or you want the submitters to get a copy of the data submitted they have submitted to your form. You can also edit the submission as you see below:

Your assumption is correct, you can leave the box unchecked. However, if you would include the edit link in your Autoresponder, you could check that option if you want to, so the Autoresponder gets send again with the updated data.
