Is there a way to have check boxes on a form once submitted be grayed out for others?

Can you make check boxes a one time use? Like say i have 5 options. When someone fills out the form makes a selections from the check boxes and submits can you blank out the selections for the next user. Say that user selects 1 & 3 options from the checked boxes can you make it so the next person that opens the form have only options 2, 4 & 5 so that it show that 1 & 3 are already taken?
