Does the form abandoment (bounce rate) in analytics indicate the form was started?

I.e., a field was actually filled in? Or does this only indicate that someone visited the page where the form resides. (In our case, they visited the contact page to look for the address).

Ultimately, I want to know if they started filling out the form and then left.

The form analytic only displays how people view and submitted a form. Unfortunately, there is no way to indicate how many started but not finished the form.

You can probably use the the SAVE AND CONTINUE, that is shown in our users guide:

How to Save Forms and Continue Later

This work around uses 2 forms. Instead of sending a notification to the user, you can send a notification to your self. This will indicate how many started the form. If the user finishes the form it the number should equal the submitted number in the second form.

Please let us know if this helps.
