Styles do not get applied to file upload button

    Hi

We're trying to create a new form, and at the bottom is a file submission button. I keep trying to change the style to "simple orange" or other styles, but no matter what I do it remains that ugly small standard grey button. I know it's a trivial thing, but we really want to change the button style. It appears to be a site error. Am I missing something?

    thanks

    Hi,

I checked your form and it looks like you were successfully able to change the style of the file submission to simple orange.

Thanks. It magically started working a couple of hours later.

I am happy to see that you were able to resolve your issue Scott and would like to offer an insight into the issue that you were experiencing.

The gray button that you had is the classic upload button. This button can not be changed nor styled as it is drown by browser. As any other input element, it can not have any styles applied to it so no matter what you did to it it would ultimately stay the same.

The other - new, orange button is actually a multi upload button version of the single upload button.

This is an element made to resemble button and is completely customizable. It is a simple div element that hides the original input element.

So on your next forms, when you want to restyle the button, just turn on the multi file upload option and that is it - style away :)

You can do that by clicking on the upload field and selecting Allow Multiple option from the toolbar:

Hope this helps, but if you have any questions or issues just let us know and we would be happy to assist with the same :)

That is super helpful! That's what happened. I turned on multi file upload and didn't realize that caused the button to behave differently.

Thanks! BTW we think jotform is awesome and we're in the process of further integrating it with wordpress on our site, replacing many woocommerce functions that we think are better served with jotform.
