    Hello,

I already asked a lot of question for this calculation tool i'm building. https://form.jotformeu.com/60262108035343

I've made an englisch version (the important fields are translated)

    My problem

    1. the monthly payement calculation, is not correct

    2. the total amount is not coreect calculated.

This becouse the hidden field duration, which was a tip from one of you, to make the calculation part in th monthly field easier. Instead of using all the different duration fields, make a workaround and let the duration be filled with the choosen duration, once its filed than we can use only that field for making our calculation.

But, for some reaso its not working.

When i make the unhide the duration field, i see that for instance when i choose 36 months, in that field shows up 390 number, and that that number is used to calculated the amortization, and total cost. Off course that is not the way to work. So

Why is the hidden field, filled with a number that doesn't correspond with the choosen duration?

I think that when we could resolve this problem my simulator will work

Could you check why the duration field gives a number that doesnt correspond the choosen duration

I have just reviewed your form and noticed that you have a condition that is adding all the duration fields together. Since all your duration fields have a default value and when the amount field is filled, the total duration will never be the same as the individual fields.

Since you will only be showing one duration field at a time, you can create a new condition. Depending on the amount enter, it should copy only that duration field and not add all of them

Sorry, but this way of working was proposed by a collegeau of yours.

But never mind in meantime i think i found the solution, if i marke in advanced option for the calculated field the " Ignore Hidden fields." option  (the one with alle the durations in it)  than i get the months correct in the field and the calculation is correct.

    Thanks for an alternative way,

    Kim
