How to restore the default format of the PDF copy of a submission?

    Hi,

I've been having more and more problems with the PDF submission, and it's finally lost the plot. Can you advise any way to get the PDF submission looking normal again? (Ie questions on left hand side?) I've had to start inserting blank text fields just to get it to behave, but that is not ideal throughout the PDF.

Note I had created a more elaborate version, but have reverted back to a plain version just to try to get the information in the right spot.

    Appreciate your help!

Access your My Forms, select the form and click "Reports". Delete the PDF design and that should restore the default PDF design:

You can customize the PDF again after. But please note that the customize PDF has a very limited designing options and you can only change those options that are available on the page.

    Hi there,

many thanks for the suggestion to restore the default PDF design. This worked, and at least the questions appeared on the left hand side!

I have since tried to institute basic changes (ie add two text boxes at the top of the form) but this again threw the form out, with questions appearing on the left again.

Is this a known issue, or am I just doing something wrong? I definitely had a lot of formatting in earlier versions (sadly, lost now) but I will happily just settle for a few text boxes to group responses.

    Form is located at: https://form.jotform.com/60338148561961

    Any help is appreciated.

    Many thanks, Brendan

Are you still referring to the PDF design? I just checked it and the fields are all align left (labels) and right (answers). Except for the spacing, they seems a bit off or close to each other. You can adjust the spacing by just dragging the row down.

If not, let us know which part of the form. If you can provide us a screenshot, that would be great.

Yes it is still the PDF design that is the issue. As this screen shot shows, the first few questions are OK, then they all move to the right hand side.

This is for the form Fact Find_FINAL (test v2_4/2/16) https://form.jotform.com/60338148561961

    Many thanks, Brendan

I checked the PDF report of your form https://form.jotform.com/60338148561961 in Design and Prview mode, but I could not see the same problem.

One thing to take into consideration is -- make sure that the form is already finalize (meaning all fields needed are on the form already) BEFORE creating/designing the PDF report.

I think the PDF Designer have issues when you modify the form after already creating a PDF report.

Please try check again on your Form Builder. Let us know if issue still persist.
